Full Tilt Poker has announced the schedule for the upcoming FTOPS XIII online poker series.  The action gets underway on August 5th and 25 events with a total guarantee of $16 Million run until the series finishes up on August 16th.  The FTOPS events always bring out a ton of top online poker players who are looking for their cut of the huge cash prizes available in FTOPS events.  The buy-ins for the series range from $100 to $2500 and there are plenty of different poker variations for all types of players to enjoy.

Like the past FTOPS events the winner of each tournament will receive a limited edition FTOPS gold jersey and all players who make the final table will receive an FTOPS jacket.  These are very sought after items and if you win one you will have marked your place in Full Tilt Poker history.  On top of this the top finisher on the FTOP XIII leaderboard will win a custom avatar (worth approximately $1 Million Full Tilts Points) as well as entry into each of the next FTOPS series events excluding the 2 day event.

Full Tilt will also be bringing back the popular FTOPS satellite challenge where you win either tournament dollars equivalent to either 2 buy-ins or 1 buy-in if you are won of the 2 players to win the most satellites into the particular event.  Also, Full Tilt has come out with a new promotion attached to FTOPS, which is the FTOPS challenges.  These challenges will be completed by doing in game tasks.  The prizes for completing the challenges have not yet been determined, but they are sure to be something to do with FTOPS or MiniFTOPS events.

Speaking of MiniFTOPS, from September 9th to 20th Full Tilt will be running the exact same 25 events, but the buy-ins will be 1/10th the size.  This will give players with smaller bankrolls a chance to win the coveted Silver MiniFTOPS jerseys.  MiniFTOPS XIII guarantees $3 Million in cash prizes and is sure to draw some big fields of lower buy-in players.

The FTP $250K Guarantee at Full Tilt Poker

Full Tilt Poker has recently announced that they will begin to hold a $250K guaranteed tournament on the first Sunday after the 15th of each month.  The buy-in to these big events will be 5000 Full Tilt Points.  These tournaments are now the only ones on Full Tilt Poker where you can turn your Full Tilt points into cash.  The tournaments will have a 12000 player cap and the top 900 places will be paid.  First place is just over $26K and the 450-900 place finishers all receive just over $60.  You will also be able to satellite your way into these 5000 FTP tourneys for as little as just 50 points.  If the tournaments do cap out, which I expect them to, each seat will be worth approximately $21.

This tournament is very similar to the current PokerStars monthly $1M Turbo Takedown where all players must buy-in with just FPP’s.  Just because it’s a stolen idea though, doesn’t mean it’s not a good one.  I really like the sounds of this tournament because it gives all players a chance to turn those FTP’s that they don’t know what to do with into potentially a lot of cash.

The first tournament of this nature will be held on June 21st at 2:15pm EST.  There are already many Full Tilt pro’s entered including Gavin Smith and Lee Watkinson.  If you aren’t signed up at Full Tilt Poker yet you should download Full Tilt Poker now and start earning Full Tilt Points.  If you don’t get enough by the 21st there is always next months $250K guarnateed tourney.

Full Tilt Poker is Bringing back the $25K Heads Up World Championship

Full Tilt Poker is bringing back the successful $25K world heads up poker championships.  The event will begin on May 23rd at 3pm EST and the tournament will play down to the final four competitors.  These four players will then have to try to get some sleep before playing some of the biggest heads up poker matches of the year the next day.  The final four resume play at 4pm EST on Sunday and play down to a champion.

Last year the final four included Andy Bloch, Brian Hastings, David Singer and “whitelime”.  “Whitelime” was the only player remaining that was not a Full Tilt Poker red pro.  “Whitelime” did make the finals but eventually lost to champion David Singer.

This event is going to bring out all kinds of rail birds because all of the best heads up players in the world will be in the line-up.  Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Durrrr, Chris Ferguson and more are all sure to be in attendance.  The winner will walk away with a huge payday and the title of champion.

There will likely be sweat tournaments again on Sunday where if you win the tournament of the player that wins the heads up title you win a bonus prize.  The sweat tournaments will be great value for all players.

Full Tilt Sit'n'go Madness is Back

Sit and go madness is back at Full Tilt from January 9th at 4pm EST until 4pm ESt no January 11th.  Earn the most sit and go points in any of the two hour blocks during Sit and go madness to win the cash prizes.  First place in the $1-$2 group is $20, and first place in the $50 to $110 group is $500 every 2 hours.  There are 7 places paid every 2 hours.

The overall leaderboard is also in effect, with the top 2 players from each of the 4 buy-in categories meeting in a $5k 8 player tournament on the 17th of January.  And lets not forget about the raffle.  Every time you win a sit and go during Sit and go madness you earn one raffle ticket towards the more than 1000 prizes being given away in the raffle.

Full Tilt Poker Holiday $100K

On December 27th at 3:15pm EST Full Tilt poker is hosting the Holiday $100K.  This is a tournament that gives all players a chance to turn their Full Tilt points into a share of $100K! 

The buy-in for the tournament is 2000 FTP and there will be many satellite tournaments running from now up until the 27th where players can satellite into the event for as little as 50 FTP.  I know this is the path I’m going to try to take, with my FTP total dwindled down after some recent Full Tilt clothing purchases you will possibly be able to find me in a 500 point satellite looking to play in this great value tournament 2 days after Christmas.

Just to add some perspective, a Full Tilt poker hat costs 4000 FTP points, so to play in a $100K guaranteed tournament is only costing about half of a hat.  To me, this is a hard decision, but that’s only because I desperately need a new hat.  But to most people this is an easy decision.  Go for the cash!

On the other hand, there is already 4500 or so entrants, with a max of 7000, so I have a feeling that this tournament will max out soon.  This means if you want to register you should do so very soon.  It also means that the 2000 points are worth roughly $14.  Now this makes the hat vs tournament decision a little bit harder, because $28 for a hat isn’t that bad.

So now I’m back to the question.  Hat or tournament?  Only because I have only 500 FTP I’m choosing satellite into tournament.  If I had 4000 points I would choose hat, but that’s just me.  The choice is yours and if you decide to play in the Holiday $100K at Full Tilt, I wish you good luck!
